Volunteer

When you volunteer, you give part of yourself—your time, your talent, your energy, your heart. In the process, you acquire valuable skills and practices that are useful for other aspects of life.

The American Lung Association simply could not accomplish its mission of preventing lung disease and promoting lung health without the support of dedicated volunteers.

We have an ongoing need for volunteers in our Greenwood Village office. Skills needed include organizing, filing, and general data entry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How old do I have to be to volunteer?
The ALAC accepts minor children under the age of 13 as volunteers if they have accompanying adult supervision. Minors over the age of 13 may volunteer without accompanying adult supervision. This includes those participating in student community service activities, intern projects, corporate volunteer programs, and individual volunteer efforts. ALAC does not accept juveniles participating in alternative sentencing or diversion programs or otherwise required by the judicial system to complete community service.

Do you accept people who smoke as volunteers?
In pursuit of the goals to protect lung health, smoking is not allowed on ALAC premises or while on duty at any ALAC-sponsored event.

* Volunteers will be accepted without regard to gender, handicap, race, or other conditions. The sole qualification for volunteering is suitability to perform a task on behalf of the American Lung Association.
