Pulmonary Rehab Groups

Support groups and pulmonary rehab programs offer educational and social opportunities for adults living with lung disease. Family members and anyone interested in respiratory health are welcome to attend. Support groups provide on-going education and current updates to the attendees and usually have no fee involved. Pulmonary rehab programs have both education and monitored exercise components. The fee structure and meeting times vary with each program so it is important to discuss this with the program contact person.

Colorado pulmonary rehabilitation groups:
EZ Breathers
EZ Breathers provides COPD patients and their families with information that will help them. Meetings help them understand and adapt to the many challenges associated with chronic pulmonary disease. Monthly updates from Colorado Society of Respiratory Care, COPD Connection, Wheat Ridge Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group and Pulmonary Hypertension Support Group. Call 302-467-4122 for details.

Meets the 3rd Friday of the month from 10-11:30 a.m. in the Exempla I-70 rehab facility. 2009 schedule: March 20, April 24, May 22, June 19, July 24, August 21, September 18, October 16, November 20.

Wheat Ridge Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group
Meetings are held at the Exempla Lutheran Rehabilitation Center, 9830 I-70 Frontage Road South Conference Room. For more details, call 303-467-4122.

Meets the last Tuesday of the month from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. 2009 schedule: March 21, April 28, May 26, June 30, July 28, August 25, September 29, October 27 and November 24.
